While working as an IV certified medical assistant Chalyce grew to understand the basic mechanics of the human body. With the understanding that giving the body the proper nutrients it has the capability to heal itself.
In January 2000 she enrolled at Red Rocks Community College for her pre-requisites to become a physician assistant. A career in traditional medicine was not to be. On July 17, 2000, as she drove down a Colorado mountain road, Chalyce’s car was hit by another vehicle. ” In that moment everything changed for me for the rest of my life,” she said.
Several days later when Chalyce went to pick up her rental car, she learned she could not understand the stop lights or street signs. As the days progressed she realized that she had no short-term memory. Reading and writing was a struggle, her speech slowed and grocery shopping was impossible. It took several months before she was diagnosed with a closed head injury. The treatment for closed head injury is medication and therapy. She took drugs to help her focus, medications to sleep, and anti-anxiety pills for panic attacks. She underwent cognitive therapy to help cope with her memory loss and struggled for the next year with the problems associated with brain injuries.
While visiting her chiropractor, Chalyce’s path crossed with Carl Janicek who introduced her to essential oils years before was alarmed by her appearance. Over the next year, Carl helped Chalyce regain her health with the use of essential oils, nutrition and homeopathy. Learning to cope with her challenges, she went back to the books, re-learning what she had forgotten and gaining new knowledge in the alternative health care field. Chalyce feels that diet change and the use of Frankincense essential oil was the key component is improving the quality of her life.
Today, Chalyce is an advocate for healing the body, mind and spirit with whole food nutrition as well as 100% therapeutic grade essential oils. In her lectures and consulting practice, she teaches that at any age, a person can change their condition by dealing with the root of the ailment and healing at the cellular level. She is especially concerned with children as well as senior citizens, who often are over-medicated for problems that could be eliminated or improved by eating the right foods.
